Homemade Avocado Dip


I love avocado either by itself or for using in my baking. Avocado is so versatile and makes everything creamier and delicious.

Then you've got the added benefit of how good it is for you, loaded with healthy essential fats, fiber, potassium, vitamins, and antioxidants it's such a well rounded food. Something that everyone should have in their diet.

Especially if you are trying to lose weight, Avocado will help you feel fuller for longer.

Although there is currently no evidence that avocados can improve weight loss, there are reasons to believe avocados could have a beneficial effect.

This is because in addition to improving heart health, the monounsaturated fats in avocados appear to have several other beneficial qualities (4):

  • They are burned at a higher rate than other types of fats.

  • They may actually increase the rate at which fat is burned.

  • They may cause your body to burn more calories after eating.

  • They can reduce appetite and decrease the desire to eat after a meal.

However, it is important to note that these effects are not yet well researched.

Yet some preliminary evidence suggests avocados may help fight weight gain.

Anyway back to the recipe that I'm sure you are all waiting for.

Ingredients:

1 avocado (approx 150 g) Pinch of cinnamon 10 g mustard (I used american mustard) 1 Tbsp almond milk 1/4 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Garlic Handful of spinach 10 g walnuts (optional) 1/2 lemon juice

Directions:

Blend all ingredients together in a food processor.

Serve straight away or chill in the fridge for later.
