The age old saying 'You can't have your cake and eat it to'
Well now you can.
Here is a really easy, delicious way to stick to your macro's but still feel like you're having a treat. This recipe can be adjusted to suit by using different flavored protein powders, adding in sugar-free choc chips, adding cinnamon with vanilla protein, and whatever else takes your fancy.
Sometimes I put chopped protein bar into the mix or a few pieces of sugar free chocolate in the mix and let it sink to the middle before cooking....soooo good!
- Pinch of baking powder (like what you could fit under a finger nail.)
- 1 tsp of cocoa (2 tsp if you like dark chocolate)
- 1 or 2 tbsp Queen maple syrup or alternative sweetener
- 2 or 4 tbsp water or almond milk
Mix ingredients together well in a mug. Mixture should be thick but run slowly off the fork once mixed. Too much liquid will make the cake not cook right and you'll have to scoop parts out then cook the rest of the mixture.
Too little liquid will make the cake very dry. You can always add Almond milk after it's cooked if you find it too dry though.
